BROADCAST VIDEO PRODUCTION.

I started producing broadcast video for PBS back in 1988 - the original Michigan Outdoors show with Fred Trost. In 1993, Bob Garner, Abbey Burke and I created Michigan Out-of-Doors TV. That show still airs today and is hosted by my good friend Jimmy Gretzinger. I left the show in 2001 to pursue a life-long ambition to teach but never stopped producing broadcast video. Below is a sample of a broadcast feature story.
Jumbo Perch in Glenn Lake!
I shot this story on a very cold day in mid-November 2013 for the Michigan Out-of-Doors TV show. The story centers around Mike Shimek and his brothers. Mike's family has a long heritage in Northen Michigan. His family has been growing tart cherries for generations and, no less important, catching jumbo perch on nearby Little and Big Glen Lakes.
