EDUCATIONAL VIDEO

I began my foray into educational video back in 2001. Hired as part of a 2.1 million dollar grant at Ovid-Elsie Area Schools, I began producing (and teaching) video with "at risk" High School students. I have taught in the classroom, TV studio, in the field and worked extensively in producing live multicamera events. Over 13 years I have gained valuable insight into the unique challenges teachers, students and staff confront when creating compelling educational content. Below is one of many examples I have produced in educational video.
Corn: From the Field to the Future
This video was produced for the Michigan Corn Growers Association as an educational video targeted at Middle School age kids. I used professional voice talent from a Detroit talent agency. The young man did a great job. The script, voiceover, pace and age appropriate content is a good example of carefully targeting your audience.
