I am very excited about this new video genre called web video. It is not what people think. It is not just video that is hosted on YouTube or Vimeo to be downloaded on demand. It really is a new way of producing video. It's short, concise, uncomplicated and straight to the point. It often doesn't have a voiceover, professional talent, graphics or special effects. It's an inspiration (and some of its production values) definitely came from YouTube. Because of that YouTube inspiration, it's authentic, non-commercialized and easily digestible. In some ways, it's easier and cheaper to produce. Given all these facts, it's not surprising that clients love web video for their site. Below is one of the three web videos I produced for Michigan State University.

The second in a series of short web videos I produced for MSU aimed at landowners who want to manage their woodlots. This video examines how landowners can profit from a forest management plan and work with a registered forester to create and cultivate a healthy woodlot for hunting, recreation, and other uses.
